The context
A drop brand.
slumkid is a streetwear brand that runs on limited releases. Every drop is an event: the shopping experience has to be as desirable as the product, and the store has to keep pace with launches and high-traffic spikes alike.
The challenge
Selling the moment.
Translating the energy of a street brand into an online store without sacrificing fluidity. Three strong requirements: a lively, touch-first product navigation on mobile, the ability to capture demand before a release through pre-orders, and an identical experience in both French and English to reach an international audience.

Inertia touch carousel
A product scroll that follows the finger to the pixel and reacts to the velocity of the gesture, releasing with inertia. The catalogue is browsed like flipping through pages, not clicking.
Pre-orders & "Notify me"
"Coming soon" products as catalogue overlays, a tagged notification form and launch pages ready to flip live. Demand is captured before the drop, not after.
Bilingual end to end
An internationalisation engine built into the theme: device-language detection, instant FR/EN switching and every piece of content translated, down to the micro-copy.
Sets & variants
Management of product sets and variants, with consistent pricing logic between single pieces and bundles.
